Happiness is a Choice

It is easy to see the good in others when you look for it!

The same way, regular Physical exercise improves your body, regular mental exercise improves how you see and engage your world and the people and places within it. The process is amazingly simple. It just takes is 11 minutes every day: Find a comfortable and peaceful place, free of and from distractions. (If needed, get the children occupied, or at a friend’s house or a baby sitter’s house). If you are at work, find a stress free area that you can use, but it is best to do this outside of work for best results. If you love the outdoors, that is one of the best places to do this, weather pending of course.

Once you have found the perfect spot, prepare it so you can relax quickly and easily. Possibly adorn it with candles, incense, and light, quiet, background music. Sit in a comfortable position, ether on a chair, a cushion, or a nice piece of Earth you find enjoyable. Place your hands in front of you, palms facing a few inches apart, slightly cupped, and a thumbs distance from the centre of your chest, directly in line with your heart. Close your eyes and visualize the person you love, cradled inside the space between your hands. Think of them at their happiest, see them bathed in rays of sunlight, and see them at their very best. Do this for 11 minutes, every day. It helps if you do this at the same time of day, every day. It also helps if you have some kind of reminder system in place too. One of the all-time best reminder systems is to get your spouse doing this too, at the same time as you, but in another area than yours. (Under a different tree, or in a different room of the house for example). That way, when one forgets, the other is more likely to remember and remind the other. Do this for 40 days. If you miss a day, start over at day one.

Here is an example: Sit down as explained above, and think about how your spouse makes you happy. Picture her or him on a boat or peacefully asleep or laughing with his or her face light up with joy. Picture your spouse happy and content. Also picture your spouse happily completing chores, but do not judge this vision.

Most likely, you had a good marriage to start with, but as the years went by, the negative outlook increased, but with this meditation exorcize, the small traces of impatience or judgment you may have brought to your relationship will be replaced with positive patience and nonjudgmental thoughts. Soon, you will no longer care about the small, insignificant negative details that currently drive you crazy and, you will have a heightened sense of joy when you see your spouse after work. Repeatedly picture your spouse at their best, and soon you will respond to that best self accordingly. Remember how grateful you were to be married to your spouse in the beginning and carry that forward to your present. Be grateful you even know that person. The more goodness you see the more goodness they will show you in turn.

It takes 40 days to request a change within yourself, 80 days to form a new pattern, and 120 days to seal your intention, and make it a subconscious habit. It is easy enough to find fault with people, but it is just as easy to see their radiance if you look for it. You may not change your spouse, but you will change yourself for the better, and in doing that, your eyes will be open to what had been there all along.

Here is another related exorcize once the above has been set as an unconscious habit: Meditate on your own greatness for 11 minutes a day for 120 days. You WILL be amazed with yourself, guaranteed!

Once you have completed both above meditations, then pick a project, or habit you would like to achieve or change, and meditate on that. You soon will be able to find ways to achieve any goal you set your sights to. It will open your mind to new unlimited possibilities, and ways to achieve them. You must realize nothing is accomplished without action. Meditation is not just sitting, doing nothing. It is preparing yourself for success. Preparation is action!

Gordian Knot Theory

How feasible is this theory on creating a Gordian Knot?

  1. Separate two ends of one long length of rope to its individual strands (About 20cm from each end), and braid the two ends together, making a seamless, never-ending loop.
  2. With a second rope, separate the strands and weave half of these around the first loop, braiding the ends together, with the first loop.
    •     Do this several more times to get an increasingly thick rope/loop, but still thin enough to manipulate.
  3. “Tie” the long thick rope/loop into a “mess” of knots, carefully concealing the braided ends, deep within the “mess of knots”.

Will this make an untieable knot? Explain how you would make an untieable (Gordian) Knot

Deuteronomy 7: 1-6

I hear a lot of Christians ask one of the stupidest comments! Here is just one:

"That's not Christian like" (or a vairation) "That's not very Christian!" They say that when someone they precieve as a Christian, doing something wrong to someone else. My responce to that is, yes it is very Christian! It is in the Bible, to do wrong to others, especially if you took their land:

‎.
Deuteronomy 7: 1-6

“7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”

Most Christian militants extend 7-1 to include any nation Christians invade.

Does this sound like a merciful God to you? But it IS VERY Christian!

Green Charities Clash With Harper Conservatives

Oil Sands Canada

OTTAWA -- The Conservatives have taken their battle with environmentalists to new levels of lunacy, some groups said Tuesday, after a Tory senator suggested they would accept funding from Al Qaeda.
"Let me ask you this, honourable senators: If environmentalists are willing to accept money from Martians, where would they draw the line on where they receive money from? Would they take money from Al Qaeda, the Hamas or the Taliban?," Senator Don Plett, the party's former president, asked in the Senate.
"It's jaw-droopingly bizarre," Devon Page, executive director of EcoJustice told The Huffington Post Canada late Tuesday.
"I have no idea where this comes from. To me this defies reason, logic and all of this is so bizarre I have a hard time responding to it. To me, it's a good example of why we need an elected Senate," he said. "They are being irresponsible, I think they are not representing the Canadian public, I think the Senate is disassociating itself from reasoned debate."
Plett, who was appointed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in 2009, made the comments during an inquiry into the foreign funding of Canadian charities.
He told the upper chamber that Canada is a sovereign nation and "foreign entities should simply not be allowed to meddle in the Canadian regulatory process under the guise of charities."
Many environmentalists are upset with Harper's seeming obsession with the millions they receive each year in charitable funding from the U.S., while ignoring the millions more spent in Canada each year by foreign business interests.
Liberal Senator Grant Mitchell pointed out that the Tories have no trouble with foreign funding as long as it benefits it's own causes, such as the National Rifle Association petitioning to kill the long gun registry.
"Funding flows in all directions across borders, and to somehow single out a subset just because you don't like the stance of certain organizations and then demonize them for it for receiving the funding...is really a reprehensible treatment," Peter Robinson, the chief executive officer of the David Suzuki Foundation told HuffPost.
The David Suzuki Foundation, EcoJustice and several other groups, including Tides Canada, Sierra Club Canada, Greenpeace and even the MADD Foundation, found themselves on another Conservative senator's hit list of "bad" charities Tuesday.
Harper-appointee Percy Mockler told the Senate it had to stop the interference of foreign foundations who were "muddling" in the business of our country.
"I believe they do abuse the laws of Revenue Canada," he said.
Not all foundations, of course, were "evil," Mockler said. "Just some of them."
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation did good work, as did The Rockerfeller Foundation and the Canadian Tire Foundation for Families.
But others were "qualified bad, not to mention ugly, foundations," Mockler said, listing: The David Suzuki Foundation, the Packard Foundation, the Greenpeace International Foundation, the Sierra Club Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, the Ecojustice Canada Bullitt Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Tides Canada and the MADD foundation.
"They are all anti-Canadian," said Senator Mike Duffy, a former television personality and another Harper-appointed Tory.
"To suggest that David Suzuki hasn't made a strong contribution to Canada is just insane," said Sierra Club Canada's executive director John Bennett.
"Here is a Canadian icon who has devoted his life to informing Canadians about the 'nature of things' and because he's done that he's now considered an Al Qaeda sympathizer?"
Bennett said his organization, which receives funding from American and Canadian foundations and donations from individuals on both sides of the border, doesn't support civil disobedience let alone a violent armed struggle.
"Clearly, this is just a continuation of the (Conservative government's) smear campaign to try to cripple the environmental movement," he said.
The federal government has lashed out at environmentalists after the Northern Gateway pipeline's public hearings were delayed because too many participants wanted to have their say in the controversial project. The Tories labelled environmentalists 'radicals' and they now plan to streamline the National Energy Board and the Canadian Environmental Assessment agency's reviews as a result.
Bennett said environmental organizations like his are only asking to halt expansion of the tar sands until the federal government figures out how it will reduce its overall emissions and clean up the toxic mess.
"All the polling we've done say that I'm representing the majority and he's (Harper) is representing the lunatic fringe," Bennett said. "This makes the case for an elected Senate because obviously members of the lunatic fringe can be appointed by the Conservative government."
The Senate's debate on foreign funding of charities happened the same day that another Conservative senator, Nancy Greene Raine, said she doesn't believe that greenhouse gas emissions are responsible for climate change.
Harper's spokesman Andrew MacDougall said he had "no comment on the opinions of Senators."

The Conservative Con Job on Canadians

Elections Canada alleged up to $60 million of fraud against the Conservative Party and a number of senior Conservative Party officials. They plead guilty to a reduced $30 million in misspent money in return for dropping the charges against the individuals. Now, uncovered, a phone call scam, getting key voters from tightly contested areas, to vote at fake voting polls. (How did the Cons know who to call? Easy – Like every party, they call hundreds, if not thousands of households, prior to Election Day, asking who they are voting for. They then keep that information in databases for reference and in some cases fraudulent uses). And where did each and every one of these phone calls come from?  Conservative Party offices, that’s where. That’s where the calls were traced to. It is against the law for anyone to get people not to vote by the way. It didn't take many to con into not voting, just enough to win the election with a majority. The deed is done, even though it was against the law to do so. Are the majority of Canadians mad? Obviously not, or we would be ether up in arms against the current government, or marching on the streets against them, and/or writing letters like mad, to everyone and everything, venting how mad we are that this happened. But we are not.

Incidentally, an Advertisement Scam involving about $2 million in misspent money in the 1995 referendum has haunted the Liberal party ever since. I find it strange that $2 million in referendum advertising misspending from Seventeen (17) years ago still haunts the Liberals to this day, but an admitted fraud of at least $30 million by the current sitting government, from a few months ago, has had almost no public impact, save for giving the felons (Conservative party) a majority government, and almost no public outcry against the guilty party.

The media are underplaying it too with words like "dirty tricks” and “folly”. These make it seem as though the Conservatives aren’t doing it to be bad. They are doing it to be funny. It’s not funny and it is bad – very bad! Instead of “dirty tricks” media should use words and phrases like “election fraud”. Instead of “folly” they should use deliberate, systematic, strategic and/or targeted.

The Conservatives, prior to hoodwinking and robbing votes from the election, whined that the media was in the Liberals back pockets. They were never in the Liberals pockets! They are, however in the Tories employ. At least they are acting like they are being paid by the current government by how they are treating these hugely illegal acts from our government.

It’s like huge crimes from the Conservative party are easier to swallow than little crimes from the Liberal party. Where is the outcry? Where are the snipers? Asleep in their beds, not even at the wheel, never mind asleep at the wheel, that’s where.

Now I’m off to bed. Good night.

THE MORNING STAR

THE MORNING STAR

Our daughter is a morning star,
Born at four oh five.
Our daughter is a morning star,
She loves to jump and jive!

Our daughter is a morning star,
With a Goddess name.
Our daughter is a morning star,
By fates she can’t be tame.

Our daughter is a morning star,
Such beauty, her reflection.
Our daughter is a morning star,
Her rays in all direction!

Our daughter is a morning star,
And like the planet Venus,
Our daughter is a morning star,
Her brilliance trumps her meanness.

Our daughter is a morning star,
Our daughter isn’t mild.
Our daughter is a morning star,
She is our second child.

Our daughter is a morning star,
Her hair is slightly curly.
Our daughter is a morning star,
She likes to get up early.

Our daughter is a morning star,
Born at four oh five.
Our daughter is a morning star,
She loves to be alive.

Our daughter is a morning star,
She’s not the golfer Annika.
Our daughter is a morning star,
Our daughter’s name is DANIKA!

A Child So Well Dreamt Upon

A Child So Well Drempt Upon
A child so well dreamt upon,
A vision inspiration!

An Irish blessing,
Boy or Girl,
Kept us guessing!
Kept us guessing!

A child so well dreamt upon,
A vision made it clear,
A vision of a girl was here,
To bless our lives so dear.

A child so well dreamt upon,
The basis of our kin.
A child so well dreamt upon,
So let the fun begin!

In darkest sleep,
A girl was dreamt,
A vision made it clear.

A child so well dreamt upon,
Adds to our family tree.
A child so well dreamt upon,
Plays so happily.

A child so well dreamt upon,
so let us introduce,
From a dream into vision,
Unto inspiration!

So without,
More adieu,
Our families first phase-in,
So without,
More Adieu,
Meet our dream:
Aislyn!

A child so well dreamt upon,
A vision inspiration!

A Stranger Nevermore!

A Stranger
Nevermore!

A stranger you were once,
Just an email from a friend.
We  agreed to meet one day,
A place around the bend.

I saw you out the window.
And gazed upon your face.
You were normal, you were cute,
No ribbons, bows or lace.

I knew at once,
For you came in,
You were meant for me.
Locked uptight, was my heart,
But knew you were it's key.

Those fateful hours, morning spent,
Foretold the day we wed.
The stars beyond the bright blue sky,
Soon after blessed our bed.

A daughter so well dreamt upon,
A vision inspiration,
A daughter’s name
In Irish means
Our first-born’s name is
Aislyn!

Three years in the future then,
With rising Morning Star,
A second daughter,
With Irish name,
Here comes Dancing Danika!

Which brings us to our present now,
A gateway to our future.

Hand in hand, through the door,
Are strangers Nevermore!
